Stump Creek Mule Chest Free Plans From
Traditional Woodworking
![]() |
| The Stump Creek Mule Chest is a measured drawing of an
antique made of Cherry we found in a home when installing a new set of
kitchen cabinets. The raised panels are hand carved into all four sides
of the chest. The legs are turned with a four sided taper on the bottom.
This is a fun project. When we built our first one we tried to replicate
the original as near possible. We've built many of these for customers
and all of them were painted and distressed with milk paint. There are four 24" x 36" plot drawings and material cut-list with this set of plans. The plans are drawn full size with a full size leg template. |
