Her project is now complete except for doing the final finish on the two end tables. She's been in the shop with me since the age of 8. I'm more than proud of her. |
We've put up a couple photos of the American Country End Table being built by a 14 year old girl in my family.
She's making two of these for one of her friend's birthday coming-up soon. Her choice of wood is
Curley Maple. She's used mortise & tenon joinery for the face frames, raised the side panels and doors
on her router table and will pop the grain in the Curley Maple. She has about 20 hours in her project so far.
It's awesome having a kid in the workshop with me and watching her having fun as she learns and grows.
We'll post photos of the final project when she completes it.
