In  While the glue has time to set on the aprons I'll now focus on cutting the mortises in the legs.

The photo on the left shows the legs aligned with each other so I can mark the locations on the mortises.

The photo on the right shows aligning the leg, aligning the fence and chisel to the dedicated mortiser.

With everything aligned and a test piece completed I can now cut the mortises in the legs for the aprons.

Once this is completed I clean out the mortises and do a dry fit of the table.

It Once all the machining has been done I do a dry fit of all the table parts. Due to a lot of

business commitments it took a long time to get this far. The second photo shows hand planning

the bead on the aprons and stretcher.

The photo on the left shows the final pass with the hand plane completing the bead on the lower stretcher.

The next photo is cutting the mortises in the lower side aprons for the stretcher.

With the mortises complete I take a small rasp and fine tune the tenon. I always make my tenon's a little

tight and then work them down with a rasp  for a good snug fit.

I check the fit of the tenon and apron to make sure I have a tight fit before I do the final glue up of the table.
The final glue up is complete and I've removed the clamps. I made my computer table a little stout because

in my design work I use three 21 inch flat screen CRT monitors and they weigh about 90 pounds each.  I prefer the

CRT monitor over the LCD monitors because of clarity and recovery time working in CAD, Photoshop, and CorelDraw9.

Tomorrow 2/19/08 I should have the table top bread boards ends completed, then the final sanding starts before

I start the distressed finish.
